Alicante Airport to Jávea

101 km, 79 minutes, one fixed price

Jávea is the longest of our regular runs north, and the one where knowing the town matters most. There is no single Jávea: the old town sits inland, the port is down at the harbour, and the Arenal is the sandy beach a few kilometres round the headland.

The drive is 101 km and takes around eighty minutes. Fixed at €150 for the vehicle, one way, up to four passengers with their luggage.

Those three centres are a ten or fifteen minute drive apart, which is why a wrong drop-off here costs you a taxi on top. Give us the address and you arrive where you meant to.

A hundred kilometres, four ways

Jávea is far enough north that public transport means changes and a long afternoon. It is also spread out enough that the last two kilometres matter.

How it works

Three steps to Javea

01 / Book

Say which Javea

Old town, port or Arenal. They are fifteen minutes apart and we need to know.

02 / Meet

Driver at arrivals

Holding a sign with your name, with waiting time included if you are late.

03 / Ride

Eighty minutes north

Motorway, then the slower road behind the Montgo and down to the coast.

Arriving in Jávea

Three towns called Javea

Three centres, one price

Old town, port or Arenal. They are a quarter of an hour apart and it is €150 to any of them.

Granadella and the coves

The coast south of the Arenal is a run of coves reached by narrow lanes. Drivers who know them save you the guesswork.

The long way round the Cabo

The last stretch runs behind the Montgó and round towards the cape. It is the slowest part of the trip and the prettiest.

The drive itself

Behind the Montgo

The AP-7 runs most of it, then the road swings inland behind the Montgo massif before dropping towards the sea. The final stretch is narrower and slower than the motorway, and it is where the extra fifteen minutes over Calpe come from.

A lot of this traffic is British owners heading to villas on the Cabo, and the addresses tend to be the name of a development and a plot number rather than anything a map will find on its own.

Around eighty minutes for 101 km, most of it motorway with a slower final stretch.

All of them, at the same price: the old town, the port and the Arenal, plus the urbanisations and coves around them.

No. From Valencia airport it is a longer drive, which is why most people flying in use Alicante for Javea.

Yes. For early flights we set the pickup to allow for the drive plus check in, and the price is the same.
