Benidorm is the most requested route from Alicante Terminal, and it is easy to see why. The high speed train from Madrid takes two and a half hours; the final 47 km, if you solve it badly, can take almost as long as the last hour of the train.
By motorway it is a clean run: 47 km on the AP-7 and the N-332, about 43 minutes with normal traffic. Worth knowing that it is 12 km shorter than the same trip from Alicante airport, because the station is already north of it. You pay the same €75 either way.
Your driver is on Avenida de Salamanca, at the main exit, with a sign. Trains are not flights: we know to the minute when you arrive, so there is no waiting around and no margin built in for delays that never happen.
